Scripture Cards - Part Two

The explanation and beginning of the Scripture Cards can be found here.

No weapon formed against me shall prosper. I will refute every tongue that rises against me in judgment. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord. (Isaiah 54:17) The Lord watches over me, the Lord is the shade at my right hand, the sun will not harm me by day, nor the moon by night. The Lord will keep me from all harm. He will watch over my life, the Lord will watch over my coming and my going both now and forevermore. (Psalm 121:5-8)

I stand victorious on the ground Christ won for me. I have a purpose in life. I have a place to be. Thank you, God, for showing me the way. I praise You for guiding me and that the devil's wiles against me have already been destroyed. Lead me. Open my eyes and ears to follow only Your will for my life. I submit myself as a willing servant. (Donna Watkins)

His steadfast love endures forever. (Psalm 118:4) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear. (I John 4:18) God is for me, so who can be against me? (Romans 8:31) My soul finds rest in God alone. My salvation comes from Him. (Psalm 62:1) I shall not die, but I shall live and recount the deeds of the Lord. (Psalm 118:17)

Whoever belittles another lacks sense; an intelligent person remains silent. (Proverbs 11:12) A good wife is the crown of her husband, but she who brings shame is like rottenness to his bones. (Proverbs 12:4) Rash words are like sword thrusts, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. (Proverbs 12:18) Those who guard their mouths preserve their life. (Proverbs 13:3) A gentle tongue is a tree of life. (Proverbs 15:4)

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him. But God has revealed them to us through His Spirit. (I Corinthians 2:9-10)

God gives the peace that passes all understanding. (Philippians 4:7) Fear not! I am with you; be not dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you, yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. (Isaiah 41:10) The eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him. (2 Corinthians 16:9)

Jesus took my infirmities and bore my sicknesses, and by His stripes I was healed. (I Peter 2:24) Why are you in despair, O my soul? And why are you disturbed within me? Hope in God, for I shall again praise Him, the help of my countenance and my God. (Psalm 43:5)

The Lord is my strength and might. There are glad songs of victory in the houses of the righteous. (Psalm 118:14-15) Save me, O Lord, I beseech You to cleanse and heal me. Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, for His steadfast love endures forever. (Psalm 118:29) I will trust in the Lord for He is my help and my shield. (Psalm 115:9) Faith is the bird that senses the light and sings while dawn is still dark. (Unknown)

Isaiah 40:28-31
Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He does not grow tired or weary, and His understanding no one can fathom. He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak. Even youths grow tired and wearing, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

God has not given me a spirit of fear, but of love and of power and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

Self-control is responding to sin the same way a dead man does. (Romans 6:2, 11)
Self-control is transforming desires to please myself into desires to please God. Self-control is more than moderation. It is absolute resolve to discontinue self-indulgence. (Institute in Basic Life Principles)
I remove the provisions for indulgences so I will not fulfill them.

And He hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God; many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord. (Psalm 40:3)

Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits - Who forgives all my sins and heals all my diseases, who redeems my life from the pit and crowns me with love and compassion, who satisfies my desires with good so that my youth is renewed like the eagles. (Psalm 103:2-5)

The Lord is good to all: and His tender mercies are over all His works. All they works shall praise thee, O Lord, and thy saints shall bless thee. (Psalm 145:9-10) You open your hand and satisfy the desire of every living thing. (vs. 16)

From John Piper:
Incline my heart to Your Word and not to selfish gain. (Psalm 119:36)
Open my eyes that I may behold wondrous things out of Your Word. (Psalm 119:18)
Unite my heart to fear Your name and say 'Yes' to all You reveal in Your Word. (Psalm 86:11)
Satisfy me in the morning with Your steadfast love that I would be satisfied with You and not the world. (Psalm 90:14)

Thank you for posting these verses this a.m. I don't know what the LORD is up to in my life, but I"m on the last day of a Daniel Fast...and while I've been on it my clientele dropped drastically. Yet another one emailed this a.m. to say that she needs to take a couple of months break. I'm still recouping financial losses from a few years illness and a move back to Canada from Mx because of it. So, from an eartly standpoint this does not make sense but I claimed each verse here this a.m. and I praise God that He sees beginning from the end and that He is in control. :)
So, yes, thank you for providing me with my morning prayer...

Any time we choose to dedicate more ourselves (our time) to the Lord, the devil will stir as much up as he can to get us to declare that God is not good. Finances is one major tool he uses. God is our Provider and He does see beginning to end and sometimes we have to go back to the verses that say with food and clothing be content. God wants to give His children so much ... we are children of the King and are part of a Royal Priesthood, but He's also a jealous God and we go through testing to find out where our hearts really are ... not that GOD doesn't know ... but to reveal to US where we are so we can continue to change our hearts and long for more of Him more than anything else. Choosing Christ is not the wide path of happiness ... but it's a wonderful narrow path of joy. Love and Hugs to you ... hang on to Jesus. He's our Shepherd. I picture him picking me up and wrapping me around His neck as he mentioned in the parable of the lost sheep.

Yes, It has definitely been 21 days of disciplining myself and choosing to praise Him in spite of whats going on around me.

Well put in what you've stated above...and thanks for the reminders.
