This amazing 4-1/2 minute video on wolves being reintroduced into Yellowstone National Park and all that changed since their arrival really shows that God has connected all of Creation with a plan and purpose. And if He's done this with the land and the animals, imagine what He has in mind for you! There is great reward in spending time with the Lord.

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future" (Jeremiah 29:11).

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life[e]? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." (Matthew 6:26-27 & 6:31-34).

Are You In Pain? Nature Has Answers.

Written By: Steven Horne

Pain is the primary and universal symptom of all our human afflictions, whether they are physical or emotional. Pain is why we seek help when we are sick. If illness didn’t cause “dis-ease” (“lack of ease” or pain) we would not be motivated to avoid doing things that damage our bodies.

No matter how much we dislike it and want it to go away, pain is not an enemy. Pain is a form of communication. It is how the body tells us it is having a problem. It is the 911 system that the cells of our body use call to call for help. Pain is also the teacher that motivates us, if we let it, to not abuse our body and pursue a healthy lifestyle.

Modern pain-relieving drugs can be wonderful things. They enable us to undergo necessary surgery or dental work without pain. They can also be of great relief to the person who is suffering because of a serious accident or illness.

Unfortunately, pain-relieving medications allow people to disconnect from taking responsibility for their health. Instead of asking “why” they are getting headaches, upset stomachs, muscle aches or other pain, they simply pop a painkiller. Thus, they never make the connection that their pain is originating from their diet, lifestyle and stress and don’t make the changes necessary to be healthy.
Listening to the Message of Pain

The common headache can teach us a lot about the message of pain. Headaches have causes, and in some cases the cause may be as simple as dehydration. If this is the case, drinking more water can greatly reduce headache pain. A headache can also result from over acidity in the body, poor bowel elimination, or excess stress and tension.

Taking painkillers may relieve today’s headache, but it won’t stop you from having another one tomorrow. When we start “listening” to our pain, we can actually learn to stop getting headaches altogether. Headaches are a normal part of most people’s lives only because the average person has the same bad health habits.

When we keep taking painkillers without changing our health habits, we continue doing small things that damage our health. After twenty years of failing to heed these little warnings that something is wrong, we get a bigger “wake up call” in the form of a heart attack, cancer, diabetes or some other serious illness and wonder, “How could this happen to me?"

Besides, painkillers are actually toxic drugs. Sure, they’re okay for occasional relief of pain, but when used frequently they can damage the liver, kidneys, nerves, and other organs. They can even increase the risk of heart disease and other serious health problems.

In this article, we explore some of the underlying causes of pain and what we can do to permanently correct them. We also look at some natural alternatives to pain-relieving drugs that have fewer side effects and may even help to correct these problems long term.
Identifying the Causes of Pain

Sometimes the reason why we’re hurting is obvious, as when we get bumped, bruised, scraped or cut. At other times, the cause of our pain is difficult to identify. This doesn’t mean that a cause does not exist; it just means that we aren’t perceiving or understanding what’s ailing our body.

Chemical medicine has capitalized on this lack of awareness and conditioned us to reach for synthetic painkillers the minute we feel pain. The problem with aspirin, acetaminophen, ibuprofen and other painkillers is that they merely numb us to the sensation of pain, rather than relieving the cause of our pain. Going back to the headache example, what if your headaches are being caused by stress or a hormone imbalance? What if they are being caused by chronic inflammation? If you don’t investigate these possibilities, you may never find lasting relief—and you may unwittingly exacerbate the problem.

There’s no question that pain-relieving medications are valuable at times, but it’s also important to probe more deeply into what might be harming your body and then correct it, especially when the pain is persistent and recurring.

23-year-old Google Employee Lives in Truck Saving 90% of His Income

Kathleen Elkins, provided by Business Insider

When 23-year-old Brandon S. headed from Massachusetts to start work as a software engineer at Google, he opted out of settling into an overpriced San Francisco apartment. Instead, he moved into a 128-square-foot truck.
The idea started to formulate while Brandon was interning at Google last summer and living in the cheapest corporate housing offered: two bedrooms and four people for about $65 a night (roughly $2,000 a month), he told Business Insider.

"I realized I was paying an exorbitant amount of money for the apartment I was staying in — and I was almost never home," he says. "It's really hard to justify throwing that kind of money away. You're essentially burning it — you're not putting equity in anything and you're not building it up for a future — and that was really hard for me to reconcile."

Can Mushrooms Save the Honeybee?

by Sylvia Kantor
Paul Stamets has had a life-long love affair with mushrooms, one that goes well beyond their culinary and psychedelic qualities. Wearing his signature hat — made from mushrooms — a turtle pendant and, always, a blue scarf, the nearly 60 year-old mycologist runs Fungi Perfecti, a family-owned farm and business in Shelton, Washington.

Stamets jokes that it only took him three decades to have his epiphany about the relationship between his beloved fungi and the threatened honeybee. He first began to connect the dots after noticing honeybees feeding on the mycelium (root-like filaments) of mushrooms growing among the wood chips in his garden ....

How Do I Change My Spouse or Child?

By Clint Byars, Forward Church

“I am experiencing transformation like never before. I feel God’s love now. How do I get my spouse or child to feel what I’m feeling?”

Have you said something like this?

I have heard this question dozens of times from people who begin a heart journey of connecting with God within but want the people in their lives to do the same. There is such freedom when we realize that the changes we’ve desired for so long come from the power of God’s spirit within rather than God acting on us outwardly, that we want everyone to experience the same liberty.

We often begin to try to teach the people in our lives what we’ve learned but it only turns to frustration. It may even cause one to be disappointed in God all over again if they think God is not moving on the person they love.

The only path for their heart is love. As you love them, they begin to know and feel love which in turn can be the tipping point to be able to receive and experience God’s love. Ephesians 3 tells us that God’s love in our hearts makes us whole. If you desire to see change in people you love, just love them and trust the Holy Spirit to do the rest.

Freed From The Law

by Andrew Wommack

Luke 16:16 "The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it."

Read Luke 16:16-17

The Bible teaches that there are different dispensations or divinely ordered ways of God dealing with mankind throughout the ages. A dispensation is simply a period of time in which God deals with mankind in a certain way.

The Old Testament law was only a temporary dispensation and ruled from the giving of the law (Ex. 20) until the ministry of John the Baptist. When Christ came, He put an end to the law for righteousness (Rom. 10:4).

Anyone who advocates the keeping of the law for the purpose of right standing with God is going back to an Old Testament system of law that has been abolished and is making the work of Christ void in his life.

The New Testament believer is under the dispensation of God's grace. We are not under the law. That doesn't mean the law has passed away. It is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the smallest part of the law to fail. The law hasn't failed. It has been fulfilled (Mt. 5:17).

Christ fulfilled every jot and tittle of the law for us and imputes to us that righteousness is not based on our performance but on our faith in Him. The law was never given for the purpose of justification. It was totally powerless to save. It only showed us our need and pointed us to a Savior.

The law was not made for a righteous man and it still serves a purpose for those who are not born again. For those who do not accept Jesus as their Savior, the wrath of God, which the law produces, abides on them. In this present age, Jesus has come not to condemn men but to bring them grace and truth.

Those who do not believe on the Son are presently under the wrath of the Old Testament law, and, unless they repent, will suffer the wrath of God eternally. Thank God for His grace today.

Opossums

By Donna L. Watkins

View Enlarged Image
Opossum on Back Porch
I think Opossums are so cute. Many people fear them because of their 50 pointed teeth, but they are not aggressive animals, nor are they destructive as they do not destroy property or dig in the soil. Maybe it's the long tail that reminds people of rats. They are solitary animals and despite the appearance of being able to be mean, they are most often a target of unnecessary cruelty in urban areas.

Opossums are a far lower health risk to humans than cats and dogs. They have a high level of immunity to diseases and are more resistant to rabies than any other mammal. We've all heard of "playing possum." If attacked and unable to run, it puts up a bluff of collapsing and playing dead. This can cause the Opossum to be comatose from 40 minutes to 4 hours. Don't dispose of a "dead" Opossum unless you've given it time to be sure it's dead.

An adult female may be carrying her babies in her pouch which might make her more defensive. if you harm or kill the mother the babies will definitely die. They cannot survive without being attached for mother's opossums present a far lower health risk to humans than dogs and cats. milk. They are the only marsupial in North America that is related to the Kangaroo & Koala. A female gives birth two times a year less than 2 weeks after conception. She will produce from 5 to 8 little ones that remain in her pouch until able to walk around on their own at about 4 months. They are so tiny at birth that you could put 10 of them on a teaspoon.

We get Opossums visiting our veggie and fruit scrap area and in the summer I sometimes get to see them. Now that it's getting dark early and I'm not on the porch to see them, they feed without being seen. They don't actually have a territory that they stay in, moving on in 2-3 days. They are always on the move to find an area with food sources. Females stay in a smaller area while they care for their young and their dens can be found in the burrows of other animals, rock piles, hollow trees, under buildings, in stumps and any available spot they consider cozy.

Opossums can be considered a beneficial addition to your wildlife habitat. They eat mice and rats, consume dead animals, prey on moles and shrews, eat all kinds of insects including beetles, crickets, cockroaches, and consider slugs and snails a delicacy. They do like overripe grapes, fruit and berries. Helping to maintain a clean, healthy environment, they're known as "Nature's Little Sanitation Engineers." Learning tasks ranks Opossums above dogs in intelligence. If you find one in your garden, consider it a blessing since it will eat harmful pests.

Due to its many predators, few Opossums survive to be adults and those that do only have a life expectancy 1 to 2 years due, with man being the worst offender.

Tovala’s Smart Oven Wants to Replace Your Microwave

.... it’s not a microwave. It’s a 26-pound robotic personal chef.

Other than the bank of lights, which functions as a countdown timer that you can see from across the room, the interesting things about the Tovala are hidden inside. Within the 13-by-20-by-15-inch box, there’s a laser scanner. It’s made for reading bar codes on the lids of compatible meals. You can pop your own food inside the Tovala, but the reason to buy it involves prepared meals, which are packaged and sent to you. There’s a database with cooking instructions for those meals, as well as Wi-Fi connectivity so it can pull down new and newly perfected recipes from the cloud.

Embedded sensors detect whether the heat and humidity inside the oven is optimal, part of a feedback loop that can make necessary adjustments on the fly. And there’s also a tank of water, which makes the package more than just an expensive toaster oven. It steams, it broils, it bakes, and it convection-cooks—all by itself, based on instructions it follows from each meal’s barcode.  Read the entire article.

FDA Bans Antibacterial Soaps Not Better or Safe

The US Food and Drug Administration banned antibacterial soaps on because they're not better, cleaner, or safer than regular soap.

"Consumers may think antibacterial washes are more effective at preventing the spread of germs, but we have no scientific evidence that they are any better than plain soap and water," said Dr. Janet Woodcock, director of the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, said in the agency's press release.

"In fact, some data suggest that antibacterial ingredients may do more harm than good over the long-term."

The ban applies to products with 19 active ingredients, including triclosan and triclocarban — two widely used antibacterial agents.  Read the entire article.
