Our son did the SOE and DTS schools when he was 18 and we have been involved with his team leader's mission in Houston with the street people - amazing giftings he and his wife has ... and their 2 children are now grown and ministering also. It's amazing the realm that YWAM/Mercy Works, etc. encompasses from one man's dream. God is incredible! One willing person. We have a lavender farm about an hour from us here.
http://www.lavenderfieldsfarm.com/sharingsunshinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07275158327616370321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3973985529100174047.post-3276838449633617342011-01-14T14:56:20.115-05:002011-01-14T14:56:20.115-05:00They are a treasure...and a great picture of our j...They are a treasure...and a great picture of our journey...our story. Haha, that's exactly like me as well with the pieces here there and everywhere....which, in the past, I've then typed up for each year individually. I say in the past because I've not been as faithful with that in the last couple of years. But great to look back on.

Loren Cunningham has been a real inspiration to me, especially in 2 of his writings: "Daring to Live on the Edge" and "Why Not Women"?

Joy Dawson, who is a YWAMer as well greatly encouraged me with her book "Some of the Ways of God in Healing."

Aside from the books, there are many people in my life who have been or are involved with YWAM. Good to hear that you are a fan. :)

I have to confess that that is not my garden in the photo that you speak of. That is at a local Lavender farm where I went to cut some for myself. Deep in the mountains of BC...right at the border between Canada and the US.Hellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15972119912128990434noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3973985529100174047.post-10402413144472881262011-01-13T15:39:14.128-05:002011-01-13T15:39:14.128-05:00How cool! I was thinking of printing these myself now that I have them keyed in ... and then I thought about how some of the cards are from back in the late 80's and a few that a friend gave me who is now in Heaven. But the ones that are more recent on envelopes and pieces of paper may be replaced with a nice typed copy that I can cut into pieces.

Noticed on your blog profile the name of Loren Cunningham. We're fans of YWAM also :-) I love the picture of you in your garden. Bet you're not there right now! :-)sharingsunshinehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07275158327616370321noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3973985529100174047.post-69253358316609272782011-01-13T15:14:40.395-05:002011-01-13T15:14:40.395-05:00:~) I've done the very same thing for years. I've been reviewing them slowly.

Thanks...as always.Hellenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15972119912128990434noreply@blogger.com
