Receiving Is About Believing

Receiving is about Believing
Mark 11:22-23 NKJV
By Cecil Paxton

So Jesus answered and said to them, "Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, 'Be removed and be cast into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.”

If you have fear in your heart you are believing the problem.

Jesus qualified receiving by saying “does not doubt in your heart.” If there is doubt in your heart you don’t fix the problem by looking at the problem. If you put your focus on yourself and all the problems while trying to bring change in the beliefs of your heart just the opposite will happen. What we think about has the potential of consuming our heart in developing our beliefs. If we dwell on the problem in trying to find the solution to the problem wrong beliefs will be established within our heart as the problem will come alive in the imagination of our heart.

The answer is discovered in the Promise not the Problem.

If you do not depend on the Holy Spirit you will by default automatically depend on yourself in trying to establish the truth of God’s Word within your heart. It is the person whose heart is consumed by the promise in God’s Word and who allows the Holy Spirit to teach them that truth who actually takes on the identity of that truth. It is the person that believes that receives the manifestation in this natural realm of the promise.

So what does it mean to believe? In the process of believing do you have the identity of the promise or are you just choosing to believe. Believing is more than just a choice where we choose to believe the Word of God. It involves our heart beliefs and believing from the heart.

Out of the abundance of the heart there is an image that is a reflection, the fruit, of what is actually on the inside of us. If your identity is established in the promise then you will reflect the promise as confidence in God comes out of our heart before we have time to think. It will be your initial response to a challenge or a symptom of a problem.

The promises are about Jesus.

If Jesus is your life then you will choose Jesus over yourself as you have learned that His life lives within you and Jesus is the access to all the promises that have already been given to you in Christ. (2 Corinthians 1:20) Speaking to a mountain is not a formula where you speak with authority to the mountain of your problem trying to make a problem go away. No, when in your heart you already have the revelation of your freedom in Christ then your heart will back up what your mouth is saying. Then with spoken words, the mountain will move because you see the mountain go on the inside of you before you see the manifestation in the natural realm when you command it to go.

As Ephesians 2:4 says “you are in Christ.” We have already at salvation been made alive in Christ and as Ephesians 1:3 says we now are already blessed with every spiritual blessing and we lack nothing. So walk in this truth where you see all of your needs already met in Christ to the place that you have no needs. All our problems belong to Jesus. Refuse to live in anxiety and choose Jesus over yourself and live in Him even as He lives in you.

Then speak to your problems commanding them to go as they belong to Jesus and not you. Bring receiving into the now where they are leaving right now. As the problems leave it will be because you were already free which is why you are experiencing freedom.

We are not healing until we are healed!

In our physical bodies when we experience healing it is because we are healed. We are not healing until we are healed! The problem loses its ability to stay as it is dead and no longer has life where it can live in the human body.

It is just the opposite of receiving healing through a human, a doctor, where if they help you and the problem goes then you are healed.

Receiving is about Jesus not us. So we are healed because the problem belongs to Him and the power of God destroys the problem, killing it. The result is we are healed and it can’t live as it has no life which is why we heal.

As a Christian, we think different than unbelievers. We are healed which is why we heal. An unbeliever heals until they are healed because it is all about them not about Jesus!
