Essential oils are frequently referred to as the "life force" of plants. Unlike fatty oils, these "essential" oils are volatile, highly concentrated, substances extracted from flowers, leaves, stems, roots, seeds, bark, resin or fruit rinds.
The amount of essential oil found in these plants can be anywhere from 0.01 percent to 10 percent of the total. That's why tons of plant material are required for just a few hundred pounds of oil. These oils have potent antimicrobial factors, having 200-300 therapeutic constituents.
Beware of imitations. Essential oils cannot be substituted with synthetics. Only pure oils contain a full spectrum of compounds that cheap imitations simply cannot duplicate. Read the complete article.

Low-Fat Diets Do Not Cut Health Risks
The largest study ever to ask whether a low-fat diet reduces the risk of getting cancer or heart disease has found that the diet has no effect.
A major study published gave some researchers pause. Nearly 49,000 women were randomly assigned to follow a low fat diet or their regular diet for eight years while researchers kept track of their rates of breast cancer, colon cancer and heart disease. Not only did the diets have no effect on these diseases, they also had no effect on the weight.

In The Fire
by Donna L. Watkins
We are working on health issues and renewing our minds to know God's Word on health and to dig for the emotional links to health problems. In the process we sometimes get lost and discouraged and our focus is totally on healing to the point that when things don't move along at the pace we expect, we lose hope ---- and some even give up.

Isaiah 24:15 says, "Glorify ye the Lord in the fires."
Notice the word "IN?" We will have fires in life. We are to glorify the Lord IN them. Although there are examples in the Bible where God didn't allow His saints to even feel the fire, more often than not, we pass through a lot of fires in our lifetime. IN the fire, we must exercise our Faith and realize that His goodness and love has permitted the trial to make us stronger and compassionate for others that we will lead behind us as we move out of the fire. Fires will cause us to be able to praise Him more.
We really only have as much Faith as we show during times of trouble. If the victory is to be won in our own lives so that we may show His Light to others around us, then we must win the victory IN the fire.
Isn't there something that shines forth from a person who is IN the midst of trials and yet appears lighthearted about life? To see somebody with sickness but yet to see they are "more than conquerors IN Christ Jesus." (Romans 8:37)
It shows God's grace and, in the midst of it all, we renew our spirits and our minds and we come forth in healing and health because our focus was on the victory and not the reality of the disease. We truly are MORE than conquerors. As Jesus arose from death, we too can arise from our ashes of
the fire to be whole in body, mind, and spirit!
Glorify God IN the fires of life.
