Missing The Butterflies

by Donna L. Watkins

Now that the colder weather has taken away our blooms and the buzzing pollinators, hummingbirds went south in October, frogs are digging into the mucky part of the pond for a long winter's nap, lizards, skinks and toads are tucked under rocks or logs. I'm missing the butterflies which are so precious to behold throughout the warm months.

So here's a few of the photos of visitors from years past to our abode ... to give you a Butterfly Moment ... or we could say Butterfly Kisses. Enjoy!

The enlarged images are much clearer than these.

If you'd like to take off for a warmer spot on the planet, visit the Travel section of my gallery and drift away.

South Carolina is a bit chilly now also, but there are many sunny warm visits to plantations, preserves and beautiful cities.

Florida is still nice and warm enough for us to be wishing and hoping.

Honolulu, Hawaii was an award trip to a Hilton hotel that had wildlife.

Want to get out of the country? Check out the international area of my gallery.  Costa Rica will be filled with all kinds of critters, birds and butterflies.
