Our way of using credit cards is to take the charge amount out of the budget as soon as it was charged. Then we always have the funds to pay it off. This has worked for us since the early 90's. It's not about how much you make because people that make larger incomes seem to be more in debt than those who make little. It doesn't matter how much you make, it's choosing to live within the realm of your present income. The only way to do this is to make a budget.
