Crabtree Falls in Nelson County, Virginia

I had a friend visit for a week and we had such a grand time even though it rained two of the days. We had some butterfly bench time and hammock, enjoyed games and a puzzle, the garden, and two visits to the Blue Ridge Mountains. We picked grapes in the Shenandoah Valley, visited a couple of historical sites and went to a mountain-top orchard for an apple harvest festival. Her last day here was spent at Crabtree Falls - the highest vertical-drop cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River. The day was gorgeous with leaves getting brighter with color as we climbed higher. View the photo album of Crabtree Falls.
